Medical universities will help solve the problem of the shortage of doctors

The Public Health Department has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Kazakh National Medical University. S.D. Asfendiyarova.

 

The main task is the training of demanded medical specialists.

 

“Today, there is a deficiency of more than 300 doctors in the medical institutions of Almaty, including — pediatricians, community therapists, general practitioners and radiation diagnostics, anesthetist- resuscitators, clinical pharmacists, ophthalmologists, rehabilitologists, oncologists, psychiatrists, obstetrician-gynecologists and others,” the head of the public administration of the department of Health, Kanat Tosekbayev, reported.

 

In total, in the first half of the year, 817 doctors arrived in the city’s medical institutions, more than a thousand - paramedical personnel. This year, 308 graduates of medical universities and 200 graduates of medical colleges have been distributed in Almaty.
